A loan of $1,100 helped to purchase more ladies jeans, blouses and shoes for resale.

Amidu's story

Meet Amidu. He is 48 years old and from Magburaka, Northern rural area in Sierra Leone. He is married with five children. Some years ago now, Amidu established his clothes business. He began this business because he wanted to generate a permanent source of income to support the home. He works at the business 11 hours per day, six days per week. He says that his business is doing well.

Amidu requires a loan in order to purchase more ladies jeans, blouses and shoes for resale. He hopes that the extra income from this loan will allow him to take care of his family's welfare and increase his business.

Seemingly distinct businesses are often mixed in Sierra Leone, the idea being that a customer will come to purchase one thing but will leave having purchased another.

In the future, Amidu plans to expand his business more than ever. He thanks you for your support.
