A loan of $2,025 helped to buy onion seeds and one calf.

Gramoz's story

Gramoz lives with his wife and two children, 9 and 16 years old, in a village in southeastern Albania. He has been working in agriculture/livestock for 25 years. He owns 25 dynym of agricultural land where he plants onions, fodder, corn and grain. The profit from these products is around $5,000. Every year, Gramoz sells five calves for $1,500 in.

The requested loan will be used to buy onion seeds and one calf. He works closely with his wife while their children attend school.

Gramoz is photographed near the kettle which Raki, an Albanian speciality, is poured into. He owns it but usually rents it out.

This loan is special because:

It supports populations in a country where financing options are scarce.
