A loan of $3,050 helped a member to buy animals to resell afterwards.

Djiguifa Group's story

Souleymane is a member of the Djiguifa group, and it is him holding on to the sheep in the photo. He raises cattle and sheep. He is 42 years old, married and father to seven children between the ages of three and 12 years old; three of them go to school.

Souleymane is considered among his friends as a kind man who is polite and respectful. His wife is a housewife, but she also raises animals as well as buying and selling condiments. Souleymane has been doing this work for the past 12 years and gets his supplies from certain communes. He carries out his sales on a retail basis from home and in his local market. He makes 25,000 FCFA profit per month, excluding all expenses.

He is turning to RMCR for a loan to expand his animal-raising activity by buying a lot of cattle and sheep. The loan will help him to cover the family outgoings, as well as his children's school fees. He dreams of becoming a significant animal raiser in the future, so that he can save some assets, particularly livestock.
