A loan of $850 helped to buy beef and cattle for his butcher shop to sell.

Samba's story

Samba is married and the father of seven children. He is a loyal client of the rural offices of IMCEC, where he has benefited from loans three times. Samba's business consists of buying meat or cattle to put in his butchers shop to sell.

Samba started his business 10 years ago with a capital of 150,000 XOF which little by little has yielded a profit since then. Now that he wants to buy 150 kg of meat he would like the support of IMCEC to increase his working capital and be able to buy two or three cattle. Samba begins his workday at 7 am and finishes at 4 pm or later depending on his customers.

With the earnings from his business Samba takes care of feeding his family and seeing to their education.

In the near future he hopes to expand his business and open a large delicatessen in the area.
