Mary has been working with Kiva partner Manuel Ramos for three years and is a member of the communal bank “San Fernando II.” She used her first loan of 300 soles (about $100) to purchase fabric. She will use this loan of 1,000 soles to purchase fabric, specifically for making children’s undergarments.
Mary’s first business was sewing children’s clothing. She is now an entrepreneur involved in quite a variety of ventures. In addition to selling beauty products and sewing clothing, she also sews sheets and furniture covers. Mary’s goal is to conduct her own sewing workshop.
