C. was born in 1984 and is a young man living with his older mother in Siem Reap Province. He is a determined man who tries to work hard for a profit. He currently works as internal staff for a hotel.
C. inherited a plot of land many years ago from his older mother. In addition, he builds rooms and runs a karaoke service (amateur singing to a recorded music background ) for income. He now lacks some parts of the equipment needed to support his service. He is therefore applying for a loan to purchase essential items such as speakers, microphones, and media players in order to continue the good service he provides.
Hattha Kaksekar Limited is one of the largest and most successful microfinance institutions (MFIs) in Cambodia. The organization provides microfinance services to the poor, particularly women, in urban and rural areas. Kiva lenders’ funds will be used to expand the outreach of HKL’s financial services to a greater number of clients in rural areas of Cambodia.
