Alona Setera is 37 years old and is married to Mr. Jun Setera. She has five children and lives in Brgy. Canroma, Pontevedra, Negros Occidental. She is a dedicated wife who is determined to help her husband improve their life situation.

Mrs. Setera has been engaged in food production for the past fifteen years. She and her husband, with the help of their older children, sell snack food, corn, vinegar and other food products to the neighboring towns, especially where there is a fiesta going on (and there is always a fiesta going on somewhere in the island of Negros).

This is not easy work because they need to wake up early to travel and set up their station, stay up late selling their product, and when the crowds are gone, pack up and go home. However, it earns a good income of about PHP 9,800 per month, so they persevere because it sustains the education of some of their children, and the needs of the family. Hard work, patience and discipline are the key elements to Mrs. Setera's continuing success.

Mrs. Setera joined NWTF-Project Dungganon in 1999 and the unsecured loans she has borrowed over the last ten years have enabled her to make her business a sustainable endeavor which is a great help to their family.

At present, Mrs. Setera needs to purchase a transport vehicle to facilitate the delivery of her products and transport them from town to town as they transfer selling locations. This is why, for her 17th loan, Mrs. Setera is borrowing PHP 19,500 so that, with her own transportation, she will be able to reach farther and stay longer in the towns and not be dependent on the availability of public transportation.
