Fifteen people living in Ponley village in Takeo province comprise this village bank group loan, and they will use the loan for various purposes. Mrs. Sy S. is a 63-year-old village bank group president. She is a farmer who owns a plot of land to cultivate rice to earn for living. In this plantation, she faces an obstacle because her field is unfertilized and she does not have enough money to hire a laborer with two oxen to plow the rice field. Thus, she decided to ask for a loan to buy fertilizer and to plow the field. Mrs. Sy S. is a widow with three children, two of whom are employed in a garment factory, while the other attends the local school.

All the members in this group loan are End-of-Term loans, S. they are not required to pay any principal on the loan until the very end of the loan term. End-of-Term (EoT) loans are AMK’s main product because it is the most beneficial to Cambodia’s poor. It allows them to repay portions of the principal whenever they are financially able to. Most clients start to make their payments many months before the end of the loan term. Almost all of AMK’s client make their payments on time. AMK has a delinquency rate of only 0.09% and AMK has a default rate of 0% on Kiva.
