This group of borrowers consists of four low-income people who live together in Chong Kneas Commune, in Siem Reap province. Mrs. Pel Ly, age 35, has been selected to be the leader of group. To earn a living, Pel Ly and her husband have been working as fishermen since early 2000. They both depend on the fish in and around Tunle Sap River, and they can catch over 10 kilos of fish each day to sell at the local market. Five of their children are going to school and help fishing. Recently, this family’s productivity has decreased due to frequently broken fishing equipment. Therefore, Pel Ly has requested a loan to buy more tools and to repair some tools that are broken.

The other borrowers who have jointly taken this loan are:
Pel Thy, who will be using the loan to purchase additional tools for fishing operations.
Pel Heap, a fish catcher, who is asking for a loan to decorate and repair her house.
Pel Hay, who will use her loan to buy extra nets and traps for fishing.
