Magdaline
Magdaline is a mother of nine living in Mile 90, a community just outside of Bamenda, Cameroon. Living there, she has been able to take out five separate loans from GHAPE to be able to expand her farming practices, and also open up her own grocery store.

With this next loan that she is applying for, Magdaline hopes to be able to grow her store, and also support her pig farming practices, a very profitable venture in this area.

She is sure that these activities will be a success because of her prior experience in this business, and also because of the variety of products that she is able to carry in her store. This variety gives people more choices of what to buy, and it attracts them to her business as opposed to others, because of the sheer volume of what she is able to put out for sale in the store.

With the profits of this business, she will be able to continue to support the education and apprenticeship of her children in learning different skills and making their own lives more fruitful because of the empowerment that they have received. Magdaline also plans to put the money that she makes back into the business.

Through the credit and the trainings that she has received, Magdaline has been able to make a notable difference in the life of her family members, and also in the conditions that they are subject to on a daily basis. She originally came to GHAPE because of the low interest rate, but now continues to stay with the organization because of the non-monetary gains that she has received.
