Galina has a small building supplies store located at a shopping center near the middle of Ivano-Frankivsk. Her business is a vital source of income for Galina. She is a widow and depends on the funds from her store to meet the needs of herself and her two youngest children, a 20-year-old son and a 26-year-old daughter. Her oldest daughter’s husband has started working with her, so the store also provides income for her daughter and son-in-law.
Galina started the business 3 years ago and currently makes around $1200 per month. She has requested a loan $900 to help purchase additional supplies of plastic molding and tile. These are popular with the booming remodeling business in Ukraine and should sell very well during the summer months.
