Sum P. is a 56-year-old woman. She lives in the town of Takeo province and is married and has two children. Sum P. was not available for the photo and so her husband is pictured instead.
Together, Sum P. and her husband hire out chairs, tables and other items when there is a wedding taking place. Sum P. has been engaged in this business for over thirteen years and they typically make a combined income of about US$5 per day. The couple is also supported by two of their children who are working.
Sum P. joined CREDIT MIF to gain access to financial services to help improve her living situation and her ability to engage in business activities. She is requesting for the first time a loan from CREDIT. She is requesting a loan of US$1,200 which will be used to invest in expanding the business.
