Margaret is seventy years old. She is widowed and has children. She lives with some of her grandchildren in a family house in a farming/commercial town in the Brong Ahafo Region of Ghana. Margaret is a trader. She sells smoked fish on a table top in her local market. She also treks to other towns to sell on their market days. Margaret has been in business for over thirty-two years and wants a loan to buy the fish in bulk to make more profit. She wants to improve her standard of living.
