The group’s leader Lira. She sells milk products and eggs. These days she barely sees her husband as he works in the field. He grows wheat, barley and clover. They have three children. Their eldest son is serving in the army. The other son and daughter are at home. After the collapse of Soviet Union, they obtained a piece of land and started farming. They put in all their energy and devotion to obtain a good harvest and were able to buy a house and car.

Now their monthly income is $290. They need a loan to buy gas to cultivate their land and to purchase chickens. They are hoping for a good harvest this year and when it happens they plan to buy a new lorry and some livestock: a horse, cows and sheep. They are making plans to help their son find a job, after he completes his serve in the army.

Lira’s partners are excellent examples of hardworking people, who are not afraid to try new things. Damira, Gulnara and Istatai. Damira is forty eight. She sells milk and milk products. Her husband and son raise livestock and are farmers. Damira wants to get a loan to purchase hens, ducks, turkeys, to sell their eggs, chickens and ducklets.

Gulnara, a mother of three children is 46. She milks cows, sells milk and grows vegetables in her garden. Her husband looks after cows and works in the field. Their earnings constitute around $150 a month. Gulnara has decided to get a loan to purchase sheep for feeding, getting meat and wool for sale.

Istatai is a widower and mother of four children. She earns $120 by selling milk and hay. During twelve years of hard work she has been able to provide all her children with a proper high school education and now wants to start farming. However since it involves expenses she needs to obtain a loan.
