Junior Zúñiga is someone who is very grateful for Fundación because it has helped him with home improvements. He has already taken out two loans which he has been an excellent customer for and now he is going for his third. He used the first one for building a bedroom which he finished and now he has to fix it up on the inside; it needs stucco and a paint job since Junior built it for his three small children. The second loan was for building a wall. As you can see, this man has taken full advantage of this support since it has benefitted him and his own family. With this construction he is giving his family a better quality of life and inheritance to his children.

About Housing Loans

Many poor families cannot afford housing that meets their needs. When you make a housing loan on Kiva, you give people access to flexible capital to obtain or improve their homes. Better housing means better health, sanitation, and even educational outcomes for children. A house can also be much more for entrepreneurs who run businesses out of their homes. In this way, housing and small business loans on Kiva share a common purpose: to alleviate poverty and enable families to enjoy more stable lives.
