A loan of $500 helped to purchase fertilizer and to pay for land he rented.

Eugenio's story

Eugenio is 55 and lives with his wife and two children, who are 12 and 8. For 32 years, he has practiced agriculture. Every day he goes out to his fields, and his wife is his main source of support. The main products that he produces are potatoes, wheat, barley, and quinoa. His biggest investments, thanks to his harvests, are in grains, and he intensifies his growing of these crops more and more with each planting. This work is hard but he is rewarded with his profits that let him cover his home's expenses. He also has food available for his own consumption, and this is a big advantage of being a farmer. He will keep working in this activity and improve the quality of his land through fertilizer. This is his eighth loan with Microfinanzas Prisma. He has big hopes of continuing to work with his communal bank because he enjoys each reunion where their common well-being is the top priority. The money that he is requesting will go towards the purchase of fertilizer and towards paying for renting land that he used to increase his production.
