A loan of $1,500 helped a member to buy more fresh foods to sell.

Kangama Twekambe Group's story

Florence, a member of Kangama Twekambe is a very hard worker. For five years she has been engaged in the business of buying and selling fresh food. Price fluctuations and the high rate of perishability are challenges to her business.

She has managed to pay school fees for her children using the proceeds. Actually, what forced her to start her business was the increasing demand to fulfill the basic needs of her family.

Florence aspires to build a permanent house for her family. She is requesting a loan through a group to buy more fresh foods to sell.

(The other three people in the photo are group members who have their savings with the group. They have guaranteed others but have not taken the loan.)

In this group: Teddy, Christopher, James, Imelda, Grace, Venerandah, Beatrice, Mary, Rebbecca, Enid, Beatrice, Faith, Beatrice, Meres, Florence, Rosemary, Christopher
