Elisabete Jacinto
Elisabete Jacinto N. is 38 years old and was born in Inhambane, lives with his wife and they have 4 children, a new born baby girl who is one month old and the oldest ones are in primary school.
Elisabete left with her uncle from Inhmbane to Namaacha a village at the frontier with Swazilandia because of the intensity of war there. After they arrived he is able to finish 10th garde. Years later she was able to get a job with OTM (Mozambique Workers Organization) as a servant where she worked for 2 years, her monthly salary was 150MT which didn't satisfy her necessities at home as she was living alone and paying her rent. She found a job with the Center of Education for Teachers of Primary School (CFPPN), where she works from 6:30am to 2:30pm with a salary of 1.800MT a month. Her husband works in education too and was able to benefit from the distribution of land but they don't have money to start building, this is why they came to Hluvuku to request a loan to start the construction that stopped because of the high cost of construction materials, thanks to Hluvuku and Kiva she wants to use the loan to continue with the construction. Besides her two children, Elisabete supports her mom who lives in Inhambane, she sends her 1,000MT a month.

This is her third loan with Hluvuku and second with Kiva, this third loan for 25,000MT will be used to continue building her house. She is confident she will pay on time and will request another loan for energy and paint for the house
