María Apolonia B. Ríos is 62 years old. She is a single mother. She runs a business in the sale of dairy products. Maria gets up very early to acquire milk, given that she has a place that offers her milk at an affordable price, which allows her to offer it at a good price to her clients. Even though she sells her products in the market, Maria has many financial problems, however, thanks to the sacrifices that she has made she has been able to get ahead in life. The loan will be used as work capital to purchase products, such as milk, cheese curds, cheese, and cream. Her biggest wish is expand her business so that her children can someday succeed.

Por lo que ella vende sus productos en el mercado, María es una mujer con muchos problemas económicos, pero gracias a los sacrificios que ha realizado ha logrado salir adelante. El destino de su financiamiento es para capital de trabajo para la compra de sus productos como leche, cuajada, queso, crema. Su mayor deseo es extender su negocio para que el día de mañana sus hijos logre salir adelante.

Fundación Leon 2000 works to further the development of micro, small, and medium enterprises through credit services and management, applying the best credit industry practices and technical expertise. Additionally, Fundación Leon manages several business and financial education programs in the community, specifically for young entrepreneurs and at-risk youth. Fundación Leon 2000’s group of experienced and dedicated employees works in 7 offices in Leon, Chinandega, Chichigalpa, Somotillo, Jinotepe, El Sauce, and Nagarote and serves several thousand clients (the majority of whom are women).
