This community group is called "LOS GIRASOLES DE COMPONE". This community bank is made up of 18 members that all live in the district of Anta.

Our members alternate their activities between agriculture and farming, and they have been doing this for many years. They do well financially and the members buy and raise young cows and sheep, fattening them and selling them as well as selling dairy products from their milk. They are the owners of the land where they cultivate potato and its different varieties, maize, vegetables, wheat and barley among other things. For this reason our members need a loan to reinvest in their different activities.

Our members are grateful for the loans given to them in this way, and they are committed to repaying their total debt in full.

This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.

Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
