Our members alternate their activities between agriculture and farming, and they have been doing this for many years. They do well financially and the members buy and raise young cows and sheep, fattening them and selling them as well as selling dairy products from their milk. They are the owners of the land where they cultivate potato and its different varieties, maize, vegetables, wheat and barley among other things. For this reason our members need a loan to reinvest in their different activities.
Our members are grateful for the loans given to them in this way, and they are committed to repaying their total debt in full.
Nuestros socios alternan sus diferentes actividades con la agricultura y la ganadería, ellos llevan años con esta actividad, la que les rinde económicamente, los socios compran y crían ganados vacunos y ovino, ellos los hacen engordar y los venden, o también sacan los derivados de la leche para la venta, de igual modo son dueños de tierras donde cultivan, la papa y sus diferentes variedades, el maíz, las verduras, cebadas, trigo y otros. Por esta razón nuestros socios desean el préstamo para poder reinvertir en sus diferentes actividades.

Asociación Arariwa is a large non-governmental organization that started offering microcredit in 1994 to improve the quality of life, skills and equity of the population in the rural Cusco region of Peru. Arariwa serves the southern Andean provinces of Peru, and is distinguished by its efforts to reach the very poor, who often live in isolated rural areas. Arariwa fosters village banking, supports savings accounts, promotes access to education, and empowers women entrepreneurs (who make up 78% of its borrowers).
This is a Group Loan
In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.
