Santos Celestina
Santos Celestina R. G. is 40 years, and lives in the Mejicanos municipality of the Salvador department. Santos lives in her own home with her husband and their 3 children: Carlos (17), Sergio (16), and Marlon (8). José, Santos' husband, works as a mason. His work is not very stable, and does not pay well. He earns roughly $100/month, which is not enough to support his family.

For that reason, Santos had to look for another source of income in order to help her husband meet the family's expenses. Santos decided to sell tortillas, which she does daily, as tortillas are an important part of Salvadorean cuisine. Her business does quite well, as people prefer her tortillas over those made by her neighbors. Santos is asking for a loan to increase her production of tortillas by purchasing more raw materials.
