This group of borrowers consists of three people, all of whom are living in Phnom Penh. Mrs. Long Ly, 49, has been selected by the members to be the leader. Long Ly owns a bigger plot of plantation where she plants various crops to earn a living. She collects her mature produce to sell in bulk to her buyer every three months. She is married with eight children all of whom are single and live at home, while three of her sons are employed (two are painters and one is a teacher). Her husband is a local teacher at the secondary school. Long Ly’s sons have been running the painting business for years, but their sector actions still need equipment. Therefore, Long Ly has decided to ask for a loan for her sons to use as capital to purchase extra painting tools.
The other borrowers who have jointly requested the loan are listed below:
It Sivorn is a sweets seller who is asking for a loan to develop her investments.
Nun Sophorn is a farmer applying for a loan as capital to buy hairdressing tools to begin providing beauty services.
