Mr. Seoung V., 43, is a villager of Ang Krong District of Siem Reap Province. He is married man with two teenage children. One of his sons works in construction and provides his income to help meet his family’s daily foods needs.
His wife, Lim Sovann (shown in the picture), age 40, is a vegetable seller.
Mr. Seoung V. plants vegetable and fruit crops on a plot of land behind his house. He sells his mature crops two months after he begins growing them.
He is requesting a loan to purchase a motor to help reduce the family’s daily travel costs.
Hattha Kaksekar Limited is one of the largest and most successful microfinance institutions (MFIs) in Cambodia. The organization provides microfinance services to the poor, particularly women, in urban and rural areas. Kiva lenders’ funds will be used to expand the outreach of HKL’s financial services to a greater number of clients in rural areas of Cambodia.
