A loan of $850 helped to boost her sales by buying more stock.

Amulen's story

Amulen is a single mother supporting her mother who is a widow. She operates a retail shop which requires a financial boost; she is applying for a loan to buy additional stock to meet the demands of her customers. This will increase her net family income to meet family bills.

She is the one responsible for fulfilling the needs of her entire family.

Amulen wants to purchase different kinds of commodities like rice, sugar, tea bags, milk, bread, biscuits and other consumer items to sell in her business, but due to financial constraints, she is not in a suitable position to buy all of the above merchandise. She has applied for a Kiva loan from its field partner UGAFODE to help her meet this target.

This loan will enable her to buy all of these commodities and will help her to earn a much more profitable income with which to manage her household and business. Amulen is very thankful to Kiva and to UGAFODE.
