Besides being a farmer in Kompong Cham Province, Ourn L., 31, has just started a business of producing an ordinary kind of food for an income US$4.50 per day. She lives with her husband and her two school-aged children. Her husband is a farmer who always collects cow dunk and bananas to sell for an income of $6 per day.
To make a better living standard, L. is asking for a loan of US$1,000 to buy a motorbike for her husband to run a business giving transportation services to the people in his village or at the markets when he is available form his work in the field. L. thinks she will be able to generate more income for her family and make a better living standard with the loan given by Kiva.
