Batduger U. is 41 years old, married, and the father of three, aged 4 - 11. His family lives in a "ger" (nomadic housing tent) district on the plot of land he owns (residents own their land for free in Mongolia) in Uvurhangay, one of the Mongolian central provinces. Two of his children are attending a local elementary school and the youngest son is attending a local kindergarten.
Batduger is a professional welder. In 2006, he started running a small business making iron doors, fences and stoves. His spouse, Shinehuu, helps his business.
