B. Delphine was born around 1973 in DANGBO in the Ouémé valley in southern Benin. She is married to OLIVIER HINNNOUHO, a cabinet-maker by profession, and is the mother of two children who are both in school. Delphine sells coolers (insulated containers), cloth, shoes, and grains. Lomé, the capital of Togo, a country bordering Benin, is where she acquires her supplies of coolers, fabrics, and shoes. As for grains, she supplies herself at Dantokpa, the grand international market of Benin. She buys goods by special order and distributes them on credit to clients.
Delphine has already benefited from two loans from Alidé and has always repaid them without any difficulties at all. To bolster her business and to satisfy her customers more, she is requesting a third loan from Alidé.

Alidé is a Beninese NGO that works to reduce poverty by offering sustainable access to productive loans like this one in addition to savings, training sessions, and social work to low-income families.
Supporters of this loan should be aware that there is some risk of being repaid late. Because the Beninois Ministry of Finance has imposed restrictions on the amount of money Alidé can send to Kiva, the organization can only send monthly repayments in installments smaller than $13,000. This means that some Kiva lenders may receive their repayments late. However, Alidé remains a healthy institution in good standing with its creditors, and Kiva would like to continue working to support its clients.
