Agnes P. is fifty years old. She is a married and has given birth to seven children: four sons and three daughters who are all currently in school – senior high, junior high and the primary schools. She lives with her husband and children in a rented apartment in Dwenase, a suburb of Sefwi-Wiawso in the Western Region of Ghana. Her husband is a police officer.
Agnes trades in footwear for both men and women. She also deals in ladies underwear. She hawks (goes door-to-door) to sell and also treks to other towns to sell on their market days.
Agnes has been in business for ten years and wants a loan to buy goods in bulk. She desires to expand her business and give her children a good education.
