Leticia B. is forty–six years old. She is widowed and has five children, two sons and three daughters, who are currently in the senior high, junior high and primary schools. She lives with her children in a rented apartment in Dwenase, a suburb of Sefwi-Wiawso in the Western Region of Ghana. Leticia is a trader. She trades in meat. She sells on a table top at the market square. She also supplies to other retailers and food vendors in her community. She buys her goods from Kumasi. Leticia has been in business for five years and wants a loan to buy meat in bulk. She desires to expand her business and give her children the best education she can afford.
