Fatuma is married and has one child. She lives on the outskirts of Dar es Salaam in the place called Mbagala. She owns a charcoal store near her residence. She has been in this business for over twelve years. She fetches the charcoal from nearby villages. She usually hires a car and two men who help with loading sacks to and from the car. Her store has a high turnover to the extent that she cannot meet the demand. She has planned to increase the size of stock to take advantage of high demand. She requests a loan of USD 750 to purchase the required level of stock and meet the carriage costs.
