Ywar Shay -2 (D) Village Group's story

Pictured above are Gyi, Moe, Khine, Shwe and Kyin. They are from Ywar Shay village which consists of 317 households. Second from the left is Gyi, the featured borrower. She is a very energetic and helpful woman who always leads actively in village development activities. Farming is also the major business of this village. Apart from farming, people generate their income by opening small grocery stores or working as day laborers in nearby villages or townships. Gyi wants to see her village grow and be more developed.

Through this new loan from Kiva, Gyi will pay labor fees so that she will be able to harvest on time, which will let her boost her income. Gyi is also looking forward to expanding her farm in the future.
