Agatha G. is forty years old. She is divorced and has given birth to three children: two daughters and a son. Her children are all in the senior high and the junior high schools at the moment. She lives with her children in a rented apartment in a commercial town, called Dwenase, in the Western Region of Ghana. Agatha is a trader. She trades in utensils. She buys her goods (sets of utensils) from Kumasi at affordable prices and sells at the market square in her community. She hawks and treks to other markets to sell as well. Agatha has been in business for three years and wants a loan to buy goods in bulk. She aspires to expand her business and to give her children good education.
