Grace B. is thirty years old and married with two sons who are in junior high school and primary school. She lives with her children and husband in a rented apartment in Dwenase, a suburb of Sefwi-Wiawso in the Western Region of Ghana. Her husband works for a sawmill firm in the area, while she is a trader. Grace trades in textiles such as printed fabrics, linings and other materials as well as school uniforms and other clothing. She sells in a shop located by the roadside in her community. Grace buys her goods from Accra and Kumasi. She has been in business for four years and wants a loan to buy textiles in bulk. Grace desires to expand her business and to give her children the best education she can afford.
