Theresa O. is twenty-eight years old. She is married and has given birth to two children: one girl and one boy who are both in the primary school at the moment. She lives with her husband and children in a rented apartment in a commercial town called Dwenase in the Western Region of Ghana.
Theresa’s husband is a farmer while she is a trader. She trades in utensils. She buys her goods – sets of utensils from Kumasi – at affordable prices and sells at the market square in her community. She hawks (sells door-to-door) and treks to other markets to sell as well.
Theresa has been in business for three years and wants a loan to buy goods in bulk. She aspires to expand her business and give her children a good education.
