S. Françoise was born on March 10, 1962 in N’guigmi in NIGER, a country bordering Benin. She is married and the mother of three. She lives with her family in Irédé in AKPAKPA, a district of Cotonou, the economic capital of the Republic of Benin. For six years, Françoise has been selling office and school supplies, as well as beauty products and mobile phone recharge cards, in her shop located in Scoa Gbéto, a working-class district of Cotonou. Thanks to the revenues from her business, she helps her husband to cover family expenses. She has already had a loan with Alidé and has repaid it. To improve her business and to respond better to customer demand, she's requesting a second loan with Alidé.

Supporters of this loan should be aware that there is some risk of being repaid late. Because the Beninois Ministry of Finance has imposed restrictions on the amount of money Alidé can send to Kiva, the organization can only send monthly repayments in installments smaller than $13,000. This means that some Kiva lenders may receive their repayments late.
