A loan of $225 helped to purchase a sustainable package of solar products in order to reactivate his solar power system.

Jorge's story

Jorge is 52 years old, and makes a living in agriculture though basic grains and livestock in the community of Olanchito, Honduras, where he lives with his five children for whom he wants to form a good heritage. For this reason he fights day to day to give them the best living conditions possible, but in the community where he lives there is no access to electrical services, which greatly hinders the daily work. Due to this, he acquired a solar system some time ago but some parts of the system got damaged and they are needing to use candles and kerosene lamps which harms their health.

For these reasons he is soliciting Soluz Honduras for a loan to purchase a sustainable package of solar products (battery, controller, and light bulbs) in order to reactivate his solar system and again enjoy the benefits of solar energy.
