Laverna G. is from the village of Sto. Ñino, Tukuran, Zamboanga del Sur. She is 52 years old. Laverna is married and has five adult children. Laverna sells a variety of different products such as cosmetics in the local community. She has been engaged in this business for over a year and earns approximately 3000 PHP a month for these activities.
In 2009, Laverna joined GDMPC to gain access to financial services to help improve her living situation and ability to engage in business activities. Laverna is requesting a loan of 5000 PHP that she will use to purchase additional products to sell. This loan is her first loan from GDMPC. She plans to use the additional revenue generated from the business to improve/expand her business.
