C. Phul, 29, is married and stays at home to look after her two school-aged children. Her husband has been a motor-taxi driver for 8 years with a daily income of $2. Phul also takes care of her aged mother. After facing the great hardship of using an old motorbike in the business for a long time, Phul has decided to take a loan from KIVA of $700 to buy a new motorbike for her husband’s business. She hopes all of her children will have a chance to study at a good university when they finish high school.
