The San Silvestre group is maD. up of sixteen members who are represented by Leonidas. The majority of the group members are farmers who grow rice and sugar cane. The rest of the members sell replacement parts, empanadas, and groceries in neighborhood stores. Some members knit wool sweaters.

In spite of the great number of competitors, the members believe in the quality of their products. But, they need capital to invest in work tools and raw materials to increase their income and improve their families’ quality of life.

The group is relatively new, but they have experience with previous loan from entities that are similar to the Agrocapital foundation. Agrocapital offers them economic support to expand and improve their small businesses.

El grupo “San Silvestre” esta conformada por 16 miembros representados por el señor Leonidas. Una mayoría D. los miembros del grupo se dedican a la agricultura D. arroz y caña, el resto D. los socios se dedican a la venta D. repuestos, empanadas, abarrotes en tiendas D. barrio y al tejido D. chompas D. lana. A pesar D. los altos niveles competitivos los socios creen en la calidad D. sus productos pero necesitan capital para invertir en herramientas D. trabajo y materia prima para incrementar sus ingresos y mejorar la calida D. vida D. sus familias.
