A loan of $3,775 helped a member operating capital.

San Silvestre Group's story

The San Silvestre group is maD. up of sixteen members who are represented by Leonidas. The majority of the group members are farmers who grow rice and sugar cane. The rest of the members sell replacement parts, empanadas, and groceries in neighborhood stores. Some members knit wool sweaters.

In spite of the great number of competitors, the members believe in the quality of their products. But, they need capital to invest in work tools and raw materials to increase their income and improve their families’ quality of life.

The group is relatively new, but they have experience with previous loan from entities that are similar to the Agrocapital foundation. Agrocapital offers them economic support to expand and improve their small businesses.

In this group: Leonidas, Yobana, Miguel Angel, Aquiles, Sara, Isabel, Edi, Porfidio, Freddy Einar*, Tatiana, Maria, Nora, Alicia, Rosa, Sulma, Bertha
