A loan of $4,575 helped a member to purchase wholesale cereals.

Buen Samaritano Group's story

The communal bank "Buen Samaritano" (Good Samaritan) will begin their third loan cycle with Pro Mujer as part of the Panamericana Regional Office. They are comprised of ten members and are directed by a board of directors for which Daniela is the president.

The loan taken out benefited the group of small business owners to which Daniela belongs. Currently, she has a business selling cereals. She reveals that she learned this business from her mom many years ago.

The loan that they are taking out now will increase her purchasing capital for wholesale grains which she gets from the best sellers in the city of La Paz. Afterwards, it will be for the commercialization of the space she rents. This way of working allows her to generate resources to support her family economically, since she lives in civil union and has two children.

In this group: Daniela Geraldine , Beatriz , Sirley Janeth, Maria Julia, Martha Ruth, Angel , Noemi , Zamar Shabash, Paola Adriana, Ivonne Carla
