The April 15 committee was created a little over two weeks ago thanks to the cooperation and management from various neighbors who had been working with the Fundación Paraguaya in the past, but whose committees ended some time ago. The women decided to start again, based on experience they had gained.

El comité 15 de abril nace hace poco mas de dos semanas gracias a la gestión y unión de varias vecinas que ya estuvieron trabajando con la Fundación Paraguaya y cuyos comités terminaron hace un tiempo. Las mujeres decidieron empezar de nuevo, en base a la experiencia adquirida.

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.
