Mirthala is 39 years old, single, and has been working as a consultant at the Rural Institute of the Tropics for the past 14 months. She has 3 children, one of which now supports himself, one who is in his 5th year of secondary studies, and a small one who is 2½ years old. Mirthala does not count with the support of anyone, and confronts her needs with her own salary. She is requesting her 1st loan that will be utilized to erect two walls that are missing to build a home on her construction site. Currently at the center of the construction site she has a small wooden house that will disappear once she has finished construction on her new home. We know that she is an honest and responsible person that will honor her loan commitment.
