Silva P. is 44 years old and is living with her five children in Tuburan, Cagayan de Oro City in Northern Mindanao, Philippines. Her husband is a motorcycle driver at their place.
Silva is engaged in buying and selling used clothing or locally known as ukay-ukay. Everyday, she open her stall at her residence to display all the goods she has. Sometimes, Silva makes sidelines to earn extra income: she sells cooked food and peddles it in their village.
Silva is working hard for the primary needs of the family, especially the education of her children. As of the moment, she is applying for a loan from HSPFI, a Kiva partner. The amount that would be granted to her will be used in procuring additional items for her to sell. Silva is looking forward to a positive response towards her request.
