Sohelah is the group leader of the four-member Sohelah group. All of the group members are requesting money for their businesses. Sakoko and Anesa want to take a loan for their tailoring business in order to buy three machines. Sohelah wants to take a loan for her husband’s car parts business so that he can buy materials for his shop. Hafeza wants to take a loan for her brother’s general store business so that he can enlarge his shop. With this loan, the group members can improve their businesses and support their families, thus making a better future for themselves and their families.

The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.
