Update on Rosita

Entrepreneur: Rosita
Location: Isabela, Philippines

Rosita is doing well and has used her loan for several of her small businesses. She has been and ASKI client for almost 2 years and this is her 3rd loan.

She used part of her loan to purchase frozen meats that she sells around her village. She usually does this 2 times a week and can make about 100 pesos (about $2) a day. She purchased a different variety this time, which has helped her sales.

She also operates a small store outside of her home where she sells different foods that she cooks. Some of the items that she makes are cakes, rice cakes and fried noodles. She used her loan to purchase ingredients in bulk, thus decreasing her expenses. Aside from cooked items she also sells fresh meat out of her home and purchased some chicken and pork to sell, she now makes about 700 pesos (about $14) a week with this.

Lastly, she used her loan to purchase a drink powder that she also sells around her village. She has a 25% profit margin with this business.

All of her 3 children and 5 grandchildren are doing well and she is working hard to help support them all when she can.

She also says that her house is in dire need of repair, so she plans to use any extra income generated in the next few months to do so.
