Mr. F., 32, from Edinet region has a strong ambition to run his own family business in domestic animal growing as a primary source of income. This would be a way of putting into practice the knowledge he obtained from agro-business courses. Unfortunately the realization of his ambition had to be put off for some time because he lacked the capital needed to start his business. This situation led him to make a hard decision--a decision which thousands of Moldovans have had to make--to leave his family in search of a job and better earnings abroad. With the money thus earned, he started his poultry raising business in 2003, which has grown intensively ever since.
With a loan of 30,000 MDL for 12 months from MICROINVEST in April, he built a 360 m² coop to increase his productivity. This allowed him to raise over 18,000 broiler chickens, which were sold at local and regional shops and markets. The loan will be reimbursed ahead of the repayment schedule. The profit earned will let him build auxiliary facilities to better manage his growing business.
