Lucia L. is a rice grower. She is 49 years old and has four children. Her husband, Lito L., is also a farmer. Together they want to provide a better life for their children. She helps her husband manage their small rice field. Their harvest is intended for family consumption while the rest is sold to rice traders in their village.
She is asking for a loan of Php 6,000 from CEVI. She will use the loan to purchase sacks of Urea fertilizer and other farming needs. The loan will help her increase her yield. At some point, Lucia will be able to support the schooling of her kids because she is planning to venture into another business.
CEVI aims to help small business to grow. It provides not just loans but training and insurance coverage as well.
