Irina is a single mom. She is raising her son on her own and works really hard to meet all the needs of their family and pay her bills. Irina lives in Novomoskovsk and sells denim clothing in the central marketplace. Irina has been running this business for 15 years. Her income is 4,500 Hryvnia a month.
Some of her strongest entrepreneurial characteristics are integrity and consistency. Irina is very determined. She tries to remain optimistic in every situation. This time, she is seeking a loan of 16,400 Hryvnia to purchase assorted inventory, attract new potential customers (which is difficult in the current financial recession), and help her build her sales.
About HOPE Ukraine
HOPE International, a Christian faith-based non-profit organization, has been operating in Ukraine since 1997. HOPE Ukraine was the organization’s first international venture. In addition to its core microfinance activities, HOPE also supports an active children's ministry in Ukraine in the form of “Tomorrow Clubs,” after-school programs that teach children the gospel through games, skits and songs.
