Mohammad is a 45-year-old man who lives in Bint Jbeil, southern Lebanon with his wife and their nine children. Mohammad has been working as a car painter since 2001. He requested a loan of 3000 US dollars from Al Majmoua, Kiva's partner, in order to purchase tools, paint, painting products and a new machine for his work. This is his fourth cycle and he has always paid on time.

His previous loan helped him improve his work. Mohammad is special in his work because he does it well. His clients can be anybody from his region. When he first started his business, he didn’t have the startup capital, and his location was also poor. Mohammad decided on doing his business because of his experience. In the future, he plans on expanding his business by acquiring a painting oven.
