Victor
Victor is 48 years old and married with three children. Like many Paraguayans, he emigrated to Argentina when he was young and it is there that he learned his craft. His whole family helps him with his work. They have all learned the craft, and while his children are still in school they feel that what they've already learned will serve them to earn a living.

Victor not only makes and sells his product, but he also teaches leatherwork to young people in his neighborhood, charging them $3 an hour. He plans to use this loan to make more of his most popular product--a leather wristband scented with citronella used to repel mosquitoes. These are popular because the country is plagued by an epidemic of Dengue fever. He needs to increase his income because not only are his three children still in school but his 48-year-old wife has recently begun to finish her secondary education.
